DNA & molecular tests
Biology, with its source.
Connect genetic and molecular test results to the measurements and experiences that follow.
Discuss this dataCustom collection concept. Availability and review depend on the study.

What the collection
can include.
Sources and capture methods are selected with your team before recruitment.
DNA test results
Genotyping exports, variant files or genetic reports, depending on the test provider and participant permissions. Preserve assay, reference build and file provenance.
Molecular and microbiome tests
Study-specific microbiome, epigenetic or other molecular results, with the assay, specimen, collection date and processing method recorded.
Linked observations
Approved linkage to labs, measured signals and participant follow-ups. The study defines which associations it is designed to explore.
Made for your task.
Multimodal research and source-grounded interpretation tasks involving molecular results.
Cohort
Assay availability, eligibility, population coverage and permitted linkage.
Preparation
File validation, reference-build documentation and source-specific quality fields.
Review
Coverage, missing calls, assay comparability and specialist review where interpretation is required.
Delivery
Permitted source files, structured results, assay metadata and a linkage manifest.
Scope matters.
Genotype arrays are not whole-genome sequencing. Raw reads, new testing, specimen handling and specialist interpretation are separately scoped. Genetic data needs a dedicated permissions and access plan; it is not treated as anonymous.
Inspect the delivery.
Data & metadata
Agree on source files, structured observations, identifiers, timestamps and permitted linkage.
Labels & quality
Document label definitions, reviewer roles, uncertainty and acceptance rules. Separate collected data from derived interpretation.
Rights & access
Define permitted use, recipients, transfer method, retention and withdrawal handling before collection.
